In the second week of September 2022, KTX Transport organised and carried a Caterpillar 349 tracked excavator, 3.8 m wide, 3.9 m high, 50 t and over 16 m long, from the dealer Bergerat Monnoyeur in Belgium to Zagreb, Croatia.
With our combination measuring over 25 m long and more than 100 tonnes on the ground, we had to be convincing to obtain the permits in time. Fortunately, our KTX Engineering office in Monaco handled the structural studies of every bridge and structure, as well as the abnormal-transport permit applications from Belgium, through France, Germany, Austria and Slovenia, and finally into Croatia.
The journey took 5 days from Belgium to Osijek in Croatia. The transport was, of course, completed within the client’s deadline and without a hitch. We thank our client Bergerat for the trust placed in us for this oversized move across Europe.
