Transport of the largest Caterpillar bulldozer

In October 2021, thanks to our teams of professionals and our engineering office based in Monaco, we had the honour of transporting the largest Caterpillar bulldozer ever designed to date, the D11, from southern France to the northern Netherlands. A week later came the transport of a second large-scale bulldozer: the D10.

Carrying out these two transports over a distance of more than 1,200 km was a logistical puzzle, involving permit applications, structural surveys, escorts and the complexity of driving given the height, width and weight of the two machines. In all, four trucks were needed for these moves.

One truck carried the accessories and another the body of the machine. As the D11 weighs 103 tonnes, it was impossible to transport it in one go without exceeding the legal axle load permitted in Europe.

At 103 tonnes, the Caterpillar D11 is one of the largest bulldozers in the world, ahead of the D10 we moved a week later.
